Former Creasoated telephone pole, dry rotted at the base has fallen safely on the ground behind the fence of 20 Majestic Oaks Circle, and needs to be picked up by the Chatham County Utility Service.▶Archived
The pole sill lies on the ground next to the fence on Howard Foss Drive across from Bon Aire Street. It would be nice to be picked so that it is out of the way when the county comes to mow the grass.
Thanks.
The pole still remains lying on the road-side still fastened to the tie down, and needs to be dis-connected, and taken away so that it is not in the way when the County comes to mow the grass behind the fence where I live at.
GEORGIA POWER told me that I could have the pole because, when the new pole had been put in to replace the old pole, they just leave the old pole where it lay's, so when I told them about the pole and where it lays, I was given permission to take what I wanted.
Since it has been 360 days that the report has not been picked up yet. I am tempting to take care of the issue myself. I could use the creosoted timber for different purposes.
