Highway Assistant Superintendent assigned this issue to Street Permit Inspector

I am another concerned needham resident inquiring about this light. Still as of 5/20, this light is still abnormally long while on chestnut street. Meanwhile, the few cars coming from highrock street are coming along while many cars are backed up on chestnut street because the light just won’t turn green. Maybe it should be fix to stay green on chestnut street and turn red on chestnut when a car on highrock needs to pass. But something is wrong… the light on chestnut (the main road) is just too long!

The work done at this intersection by Eversource contractor Middlesex damaged the wiring which is what is causing this signal to favor one intersection over the other. The Street Permit Inspector has been in touch with Eversource regarding this issue.
